The name Silly Robot Studios came about from our ability to keep the creative process fun while staying methodical in production... like art with a system. What started as a family-run studio has grown into a nationally recognized creative team, partnering with some of the best photographers, designers, and production specialists in the country. Unlike many studios, all Photoshop work is done in-house. We are never outsourced. This ensures every project receives the same attention to detail and artistic integrity. Every shoot is directed and executed by the owner, alongside industry-leading collaborators, with the commitment to never double-book. When you work with us, your project is the priority.

Our sports portraits are bold, full of energy, and designed to stand out on both print and digital platforms. We specialize in female-driven athletics, producing imagery that amplifies power and presence in a traditionally male-dominated space, work that resonates with audiences and drives engagement across social media campaigns. Life portraits combine timeless technique with modern vision, blending decades of experience in both darkroom film and Photoshop since its earliest days. It’s what we call “Old School / New School” artistry. Our commercial shoots are executed with precision, complemented by the mobility of a full traveling studio ready to deliver anywhere in the country.

Beyond the studio, we have led creative teams across the United States in production, branding, social media engagement, photography, and videography, building cohesive campaigns and managing content pipelines for clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies and national sports leagues to Grammy-nominated bands. Whether it’s strategizing a brand launch, leading content production at a live event, or managing the creative workflow for multi-day national tournaments, we thrive in high-performance, high-pressure environments.

As a lead photographer for UEP, I oversee the capture of up to 100,000 images in a single weekend, managing workflows and mentoring teams of top sports photographers for cheer and dance events nationwide. Our greenscreen production and background art are also hired by UEP for signature events across the U.S., ensuring a consistent brand aesthetic for some of the largest stages in youth athletics. Due to the sheer amount of images I take per year, I trust Canon Professional Camera Bodies and lenses for all of my Sports Photography needs. I do not have a single Canon body that has not survived over 1 million actuations before needing service or replacement.

When we’re not working with UEP, you’ll find us with Greenlight Television, producing live-stream and broadcast footage for CBS Sports or MAVTV and their global audiences. From drone imagery, b-roll cutaways, Live interviews, pit lane footage and operating track cameras for P1 Offshore Racing and the TransAm Series presented by Pirelli, our role extends beyond photography into video direction, live event production, and cinematic storytelling. We use professional Sony broadcast cameras with Canon glass.
